Recap of the Women's Super bowl

After a 6 year break, Victoria’s Secret finally made their return this year with their notorious Fashion Show. The event, which took place on Oct 16 in New York City, broke the internet with nearly 3 million viewers.

The musical performer, Lisa from the K-Pop group BLACKPINK, opened the show with her hits “Believe” and “Rockstar”. She was dressed in a two-piece black and silver latex set and entered the stage on a motorcycle. Her combination of singing and dancing brought a lively energy to the stage that started off the show with a bang.

We not only saw former Victoria’s Secret Angels such as Taylor Hill and Alessandra Ambrosio rocking the runway, but we were also introduced to some new faces to the Victoria's Secret shows such as Kate Moss and Devyn Garcia.

With an attempt to become more inclusive, there were plus-sized models included in the show such as Ashley Graham and Paloma Elsesser.

Victoria's Secret also introduced their first transgender models Valentina Sampaio and Alex Consani, to the stage. Both models killed it on the runway and were a great addition to the show. Victoria's Secret was able to represent a range of women with different identities.

The show was split into 3 distinct sections, each separated by a different color scheme. The show opened with Gigi Hadid wearing a light pink silk romper paired with strappy heels that wrapped up her calves. She wore extravagant wings that opened up as she walked down the runway.

The final looks included a red theme where models were seen showing off their red lingerie sets. Bella Hadid stuns the crowd with her final outfit which features an extravagant black to red ombre coat which is covered in feathers that left a train as she walked.

While all of the models that performed did a fabulous job, let's discuss some of my personal favorite looks that I feel took over the show.

Anok Yai, a first time Victoria's Secret Angel was shown wearing a gorgeous light pink lace bralette and a hot pink feathery skirt and to top off the look, she wore shiny silver wings. Many people did not like this look since the pink straps to her skirt looked like they were falling off of her. Despite that, I feel like this was one of the best looks of the show.

The colors chosen for the look really accentuate her skin tone and make the outfit pop. I feel like any other model would not have been able to pull off this look like Anok did, therefore making it one of my favorite ensembles.

Another creation I want to shoutout was Devyn Garcia who was another first time model at the Victoria's Secret Fashion show. She is seen wearing this breathtaking pink set with a criss-cross skirt with ruffles that left a train as she walked. This addition to the outfit was what really made the outfit so special since it accentuated her hourglass figure. The pink and white striped pattern, modeled after the company logo, made it so Victoria’s Secret branded and personally stood out to me among the rest.

No one can deny that some of the most memorable looks were done by the stunning Adriana Lima. She was shown rocking plaid in the beginning of the show and a second time in a red lace dress.

Many viewers were upset that she walked down the runway in a slickback and not the “bombshell blowout” that Victoria’s Secret was known for in their previous shows. Although this may not have been everyone's favorite look of the show, no one can deny that Adriana Lima can pull off just about anything with her looks and charisma.

Overall, Victoria's Secret created an entertaining yet inclusive show that was filled with so much beauty and talent. You can even shop for these looks on their website: https://www.victoriassecret.com/us
