Leather pants and puffer jackets took the fashion industry by storm this past winter. Most notably, Aritzia’s Melina Pant and The Super Puff puffer jacket. With these pieces giving Aritzia more exposure, the company’s stock is currently trading at over 4.5 times its low hit on March 19th, 2020.

Aritzia is a fashion brand that was founded in Canada and caters to women of all ages. Its pieces are similar to those at Zara and H&M but carry a heavier price tag. While all people generally love Aritzia’s clothing, the price tag typically drives people away. So, I have set out to find cheaper dupes of some of their most popular products.

One of Aritzia's best-selling products has been their Melina Pant. These pants come in 27 different colors, 3 lengths, and 10 sizes, with a price tag of $148 (seen below on the left). Luckily, there are cheaper alternatives. Princess Polly carries the Macey Pant, which is a much cheaper alternative going for only $60 (seen below on the right). The Lyra Pant is another alternative (however with no button and a zipper in the back instead) that goes for $64. Be sure to research and ask friends before purchasing from Princess Polly because there is almost always a 20% influencer code available to use. Although sold out in most sizes currently, PrettyLittleThing carries an even cheaper alternative called the Black Faux Leather Straight Leg Pant, which is currently on sale for $26.

Another winter staple of Aritzia’s is their Super Puff jacket. This puffer comes in 20 different colors, 7 sizes, 6 lengths/styles (including 2 vest options), and 6 fabrics (seen below on the left). With all these options comes a price tag that ranges from $178 to $350. Target’s Women's Short Puffer Jacket is very similar to Aritzia’s “shorty” length and comes in 6 sizes with a variety of colors for only $35 (seen below on the right). ASOS’s website also carries countless options on their website ranging from $25 to $210 with a dupe for almost all of Aritzia’s combination options.

One of Aritzia’s lower-priced pieces, but still equally as coveted, is their Honor Tank. This cropped, racerback tank comes in 23 colors, 7 sizes, and a “long” style option, for $20 (seen below on the left). While this is not terribly expensive, H&M carries a similar dupe called “Ribbed Tank Top” in 3 colors and 7 sizes for only $5.99 (seen below on the right). Although mostly sold out online, Zara in store typically carries a very similar “Ribbed Top, Round Neck Tank Top” for only $5.90 in a variety of colors and 3 sizes. Lastly, Banana Republic Factory carries a tank top similar to the “long” style option in 9 colors and 7 sizes (some sizes available in petite sizes as well) for $14.99 (on sale currently).

Aritzia is adored for their basics, such as their Babaton Contour Bodysuit. This piece comes in 20 colors, 5 necklines, 2 fabrics, and 6 sizes, going for $48 (seen below on the left). Banana Republic Factory sells a similar scoop neck bodysuit that comes in 13 neutral colors and 7 sizes for only $19.99 (sale going on right now) (seen below on the right). PrettyLittleThing’s “The Basics” Collection also carries countless variations on the bodysuits in 7 sizes all under $24.

While everyone loves to splurge on a staple piece for their closet once in a while, it is important to know that there are cheaper alternatives for the items you love. Be sure to search around for a cheaper alternative from time to time in order to maximize your money.
