Industry Zoom with CaSandra Diggs, President of the CFDA

Location: Zoom

Join the Business of Fashion Society in a conversation with CaSandra Diggs, president of the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). Under the leadership of Diggs, The CFDA has made great strides towards DEI initiatives including IMPACT, a program which provides employment opportunities to BIPOC creatives and professionals in the fashion industry. Diggs has expressed interest in hearing from students, specifically those interested in the business of fashion, so the event will be very engaging and interactive.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1962 to strengthen the impact of American fashion on the global economy. Board and committee members include Tom Ford (Chairman), Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Diane Von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, and more. In 2020, CaSandra Diggs was appointed as president of the CFDA and has worked towards improving DEI education and opportunities within the fashion industry. The CFDA funds a number of programs focused on encouraging young creatives and is looking for new ways to support students interested in the business of fashion.
